Closeboard Fence, Whiteparish, Salisbury
Client:
Residential Project
Location:
Whiteparish (Salisbury), Wiltshire
Duration:
16th August 2021 - 3rd September 2021 (with interruption)
Type:
Replace/Upgrade Residential Project
The Background
One of Stonehenge Fencing & Landscape's regular clients approached us, asking to replace the old fencing of their newly bought property. The work also involved removing an obstructing hedge. Using our considerable experience in fencing and tree surgery, Stonehenge Fencing & Landscape was delighted to take on the project.
When the client moved into the Whiteparish property, the garden was overgrown, and the fence was decaying. Therefore, we needed to remove the old fencing altogether and replace it with a new one to re-establish the property boundaries.
The Solution
Our first task was to remove all the old fencing and overgrown hedge to be able to install the brand-new fence. We also required a stump grinder to grind out all the old stumps, which were in the way of the new fence.
Stonehenge Fencing & Landscape supplied and installed the new 100m closeboard fence using highly durable concrete posts and gravel boards. The finished height of the fence was 6ft, which allowed privacy for the client from the neighbouring properties.
The Hurdle
After the first day, we realised that we needed the assistance of a mini digger and a grab lorry. This was because we needed to remove the waste material and level the ground in preparation for the new fence. We discussed this with the client, and they were aware that this would be additional work and hence, an additional cost. The client was happy to proceed, and Stonehenge Fencing & Landscape were able to complete the job successfully.
The Result or Feedback
The client was very happy with the finished result and has already asked us to quote for further work.
Checkatrade review from the client: “Fantastic job. Could not recommend highly enough.”
